Refer
Send a defined question to the laboratory or the center and receive a result with its method, quality state and a reviewer's note. You keep the relationship and the decision.
Fits: Community physicians, specialists, telehealth practices
Physician Partners
Refer a question, co-manage a plan or practise here. Build the right relationship around evidence you can inspect.
Physician partners
Refer a question, co-manage a plan or practise here. However you work with Beyond, you see where every result came from and what should happen next.
Follow P-024 through the handoffs. Select “Advance teaching case” to continue.
Ways to work with Beyond
Send a defined question to the laboratory or the center and receive a result with its method, quality state and a reviewer's note. You keep the relationship and the decision.
Fits: Community physicians, specialists, telehealth practices
Share a longitudinal plan for a patient in Beyond Medical OS. You see the same source-bound evidence the Beyond clinician sees, and the follow-up schedule is agreed together.
Fits: Primary care, endocrinology, cardiology, oncology survivorship
Bring your practice into the center, with the laboratory, the software and coordinated care around you. Independence of clinical judgement is the first term of every agreement.
Fits: Physicians building a longevity or complex-care practice
Workflow
One teaching record through six handoffs. Choose a stage to see what happens, what can go wrong, and who decides.
Synthetic teaching record. No real patient, no live clinical action.
A clinical question, not a bundle
A clinician requests a focused metabolic follow-up. Each test has an order, a specimen requirement and a reason for review.
Order DEMO-104 · HbA1c, lipid panel · patient P-024 · No real clinical order
Uncertainty belongs in the workflow
The sample label and request disagree on collection time. Processing pauses while the collection detail is clarified; a guess does not become a fact.
Exception: collection time needs clarification. This demonstration does not contact a collector or release a result.
Check before interpretation
Once the record is clarified, method, quality-control state and specimen suitability remain attached to the result.
Method: illustrative assay field · QC: accepted state · Actual method approval: not established
The result keeps its context
Open a measurement to inspect its source, units, collection date and limits. A reference interval is not a diagnosis, and a result is not a treatment instruction.
HbA1c 6.1% · April 6 → 5.8% · July 6 · Invented educational data.
Human judgment remains explicit
The clinician compares mixed changes, checks medications and asks whether the follow-up interval and interpretation are appropriate.
Possible explanations include daily routine, measurement variation and unrecorded factors. The example cannot establish causation.
Close the loop thoughtfully
A proposed task records the question, responsible reviewer and due date. This preview can mark a simulated review complete; it does not schedule care.
Demonstration: confirm the next monitoring question. No order, prescription or patient notification is sent.
Responsibilities
Collaboration works when the boundaries are written down. These are the ones every Beyond agreement starts from.
| Responsibility | Owner | How it shows up |
|---|---|---|
| Clinical decision | Ordering clinician | Never delegated to software |
| Method choice and validation | Beyond laboratory | Documented per method; limits reported with results |
| Result review and exceptions | Beyond reviewer and ordering clinician | Exceptions surface before follow-up |
| Patient communication | Ordering clinician | Beyond supports with context, not diagnosis |
| Data stewardship | Beyond | Origin, effective time, correction and consent retained |
Research partners
Method development, matrix-specific analysis and longitudinal cohorts. The laboratory's industrial heritage means unusual matrices are welcome.
Questions
No. A referral works with an order and a question. The software becomes useful when you want to see the source and the history of a result, or co-manage a plan.
The result, its units, the method family, the quality state, the reporting basis and a limit statement. When a measurement is detectable but not quantifiable, the report says so.
Yes. Research collaborations start with a question, the specimen and matrix, and the evidence you need. Use the research inquiry to begin.
